WHAT IS DRY NEEDLING?
Trigger point dry needling is a treatment protocol that involves the insertion of fine needles into hyperirritable and tight muscles. It is aimed at releasing myofascial trigger points, which are taut bands of skeletal muscles. Trigger point dry needling can be carried out at a superficial or deep tissue level.

HOW MANY SESSIONS OF DRY NEEDLING IS RECOMMENDED?
A few sessions of dry needling (between 5-7) and then maintenance sessions may be recommended to you. However, this depends on the type of presentation you have and the severity of it. The podiatrist may recommend less or more dry needling sessions.
